Intrafamilial and Acaddemic Success

About Us

Open to 16 and 17 year old youths, the Intrafamilial and Academic Success (IAS) program is dedicated to sustaining academic pathways by supporting interfamilial relationships through counselling, skills building, and referrals.

Without predictable close relationships at home, youth lack the psychological safety necessary to concentrate on learning. The IAS mission is to help youth and families establish stability in their lives to promote academic excellence.

The IAS Program provides:

  • Weekly counselling support (in-person or virtual) for youth and families until one year after high school graduation

  • Coping and life skills to build better relationships at home

  • Appropriate referrals to Operation Come Home programs (employment, housing, and food security) and other local service providers
